HOA Accounting Specialist

The HOA Accounting Specialist will be responsible for completing accounting functions related to HOA’s.
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for HOA and utility general ledger accounts
Review HOA statements and determine proper general ledger coding
Reconcile HOA statements and resolve discrepancies
Enter HOA invoices into the Accounts Payable system
Manage the payment facilitation of the annual HOA dues
Ability to effectively communicate with HOA’s and attorney offices to resolve balances due
Accumulate and maintain accurate reports and reconciliations
Perform various account analysis as requested on HOA accounts
Resolve returned/outstanding checks
Obtain and update HOA information as needed
Bill back residents as required for HOA chargebacks
3 - 5 or more years of experience in an accounting role, corporate experience preferred.
Real Estate/Property Management experience a strong plus
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
Experience working in Yardi and SalesForce a plus
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/assignment while consistently meeting deadlines.
Honest, ethical and handles things in confidential manner.
