Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for various finance, compliance and accounting duties. They will develop effective partnerships with internal departments.  They will be adept at operating in high-volume, deadline-driven environments and thrive in an entrepreneurial and rapidly evolving atmosphere.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare, analyze and record entries in the general ledger

  • Maintain and improve reporting within the various accounting and payroll systems

  • Administer the time allocation system and analyze data for accuracy and completeness

  • Work closely with the human resources team to monitor and report data inconsistencies

  • Prepare monthly accruals and account reconciliations

  • Maintain best-in-class quality control, ensuring on-time delivery and report accuracy while identifying opportunities for data quality improvement

  • Provide assistance during annual audits

  • Assist with developing, implementing and overseeing compliance programs and policies

  • Conduct special projects, prepare ad hoc reports and other services at the request of management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

  • 3 - 5 years related experience

  • Candidate must be proficient in various software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience recording and/or processing payroll a plus

  • Yardi and/or Workday experience a plus

  • Residential real estate / property management experience a plus

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to accuracy and detail required

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-growing environment
