Position Summary

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for various finance and accounting duties. The position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Create and maintain accounting reports within the payroll system

  • Work closely with the payroll team to ensure employees are assigned to the correct company and cost center

  • Maintain the time allocation system

  • Prepare payroll, benefit and time allocation journal entries in the accounting system

  • Prepare monthly accruals and account reconciliations

  • Provide assistance during annual audits

  • Conduct special projects, prepare ad hoc reports and other services at the request of management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

  • 3 - 5 years related experience

  • Candidate must be proficient in various software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience recording and/or processing payroll a plus

  • Yardi and/or Workday experience a plus

  • Residential real estate / property management experience a plus

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to accuracy and detail required

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-growing environment
