JOB SUMMARY
The Business Solutions Architect reports to the SVP, Transformation and drives high-priority strategic and operational initiatives across Progress Residential's operating platform - from problem definition through implementation and measured results. This is an individual-contributor role on the Transformation team working directly with functional leaders across operations and with executive leadership: the work shapes how the company deploys AI, redesigns operating models, and scales its centralized platform across a national portfolio.
This is a strategy-through-execution role for someone who wants ownership of outcomes, not analysis handed off to others: structuring ambiguous problems, building the case for change, and then leading the cross-functional delivery that makes it real.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategy & Problem Structuring:
Own discrete, high-priority transformation initiatives end to end - problem definition, analysis, recommendation, executive alignment, and delivery.
Structure ambiguous operational and strategic problems into clear workplans, hypotheses, and analyses; build business cases with quantified impact.
Lead solution design sessions with business and technology stakeholders - framing the problem, facilitating trade-off decisions, and converging on a recommended design.
Develop executive-ready materials and recommendations for senior and executive leadership; communicate complex analysis simply.
AI & Operating-Model Transformation:
Lead the design and rollout of AI-enabled workflows across operations - customer journeys, maintenance, revenue functions - in partnership with data science and platform teams.
Map current-state processes and design future-state workflows - documenting how work actually gets done, identifying automation opportunities, and defining the target operating model: roles, workflow, decision rights, and performance measurement.
Work closely with technology partners - internal platform and engineering teams and external vendors - to translate business requirements into implemented solutions and hold delivery to spec.
Define success metrics for each initiative, establish baselines and controls, and report measured results - not activity.
Cross-Functional Delivery:
Drive cross-functional implementation as the initiative owner - workplans, owners, dates, and escalation of blockers - working through operations, technology, data science, and market teams rather than direct reports.
Drive adoption and change management with the field and functional teams; anticipate resistance and design for it.
Partner day to day with functional leaders - customer operations, maintenance, revenue, supply chain - to shape initiatives, secure buy-in, and embed change in their organizations.
Build trusted relationships with senior operators; influence without authority across the organization.
Qualifications:
3-6 years of experience, including 2+ years at a top-tier management consulting firm, in corporate strategy, or in a transformation or chief-of-staff role at a high-performing operator
MBA or comparable analytical training required
Demonstrated end-to-end ownership: strategy work that you then implemented, with measurable results you can speak to
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to build a defensible business case and pressure-test it
Experience with AI, automation, or data-driven transformation initiatives - as a leader or core team member
Exceptional structured communication: executive presentations, concise writing, and the judgment to know what matters
Disciplined program communication: maintains a regular reporting cadence with stakeholders and surfaces risks and blockers early rather than managing around them
Comfort with ambiguity and pace; bias to ownership and outcomes over process
Real estate, property management, or operations-intensive industry experience helpful but not required
What you can expect from us:
Competitive Compensation - Including performance-based bonuses that reward your contributions.
Comprehensive Benefits Package - Medical, dental, vision, parental leave, 401(k) with company match and more.
Generous Time Off – Enjoy PTO based on tenure, 13 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday.
Ongoing Learning and Development - Quarterly summits, town hall meetings and continuous training to support your professional growth.
A Culture that Celebrates You - We believe in collaboration, recognition and having fun while doing important work.
