Position Summary
 

The Director Portfolio Finance will communicate financial and operating KPI of a portfolio to investors. They will ensure timely and accurately delivery of financial reporting in accordance with existing and new definitions, and policy and procedures. They will manage and participate in projects and other ad hoc request assigned by the supervisor. They will be adept at operating in high-volume, deadline-driven environments and thrive in an entrepreneurial and rapidly evolving atmosphere.

Essential Functions

  • The Director Portfolio Finance has the unique responsibility of communicating the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of single-family rental homes, to its investors.

  • This position will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of critical metrics and results, such as budget vs. actual, collection trends, operating cash flow, move in/out activity and market trends.

  • This individual will collaborate internally with our Financial Operations and Accounting teams to identify and explain financial or operational trends and variances.

  • This person will maintain awareness of market/industry conditions and trends, leverages this knowledge to identify rationale behind results and propose solutions.

  • Specifically, this role will work closely with the Vice President of Client Reporting and the department’s financial analytics analyst to assess how past events and current economic impacts effect portfolio performance.

  • Manage/Participate in projects and other ad hoc requests.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in financial/operational performance analysis and communication, in the Single-Family rental home industry, or related field.

  • Ability to communicate and present data to key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

  • Proven problem solving, analytical, troubleshooting and time-management skills.

  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills; has ability to convey a clear and concise thought

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business need.

  • Working knowledge of property management software programs (e.g. Yardi, Salesforce etc.) and Microsoft Office Applications.
