Job Summary:
The Regional Safety & Security Partner serves as the primary field-based resource responsible for supporting safety, security, and risk management across assigned markets. This role partners closely with Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and other business stakeholders to help protect employees, residents, company assets, and the organization’s reputation.
The role combines investigative support, regional security oversight, workplace safety support, physical site security, and incident response with a strong emphasis on business partnership, sound judgment, and proactive risk mitigation. The Regional Safety & Security Partner is expected to operate as an embedded regional partner, supporting assigned markets through day-to-day consultation, incident response, safety/security training, and coordinated investigation activity.
Essential Functions:
Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders across assigned markets.Serve as a trusted partner to market leadership on matters related to employee safety, physical security, resident/visitor risk, and operational risk.
Provide regional support and oversight of local safety and security practices, helping ensure consistency and alignment with company expectations.
Guide market stakeholders on appropriate actions that balance safety, legal risk, business continuity, and employee experience.
Conduct and support internal and external investigations involving theft, misconduct, trespassing, fraud indicators, policy violations, suspicious activity, resident-related incidents, or other safety/security concerns.
Respond to incidents requiring on-site review, fact gathering, and coordination with business leaders and external partners.
Conduct informational and investigative interviews with employees, residents, vendors, and external parties as appropriate
Prepare clear, timely, and well-documented investigative summaries and incident reports.Coordinate with law enforcement and other external agencies when necessary.
Conduct physical site security assessments across offices, properties, and other company locations.
Evaluate site conditions, access controls, visitor management practices, and security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
Support on-site physical security needs, including event security planning and coordination.
Help ensure physical security policies and practices align with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including Duty of Care considerations and relevant workplace safety obligations.
Support OSHA-related investigations involving workplace injuries, near misses, employee complaints, and other safety-related events.
Coordinate with HR, Legal, Risk, and Operations to support timely and appropriate response to workplace safety incidents.
Identify when a safety incident may also involve misconduct, violence, security concerns, or broader organizational risk.
Support implementation and reinforcement of workplace safety practices and reporting expectations.
Support and/or deliver Emergency Action Plan (EAP) training for assigned markets.
Coordinate drills and follow-up activities to strengthen site preparedness and response capabilities.
Support medical emergency training and other safety/security education efforts for market teams.
Serve as a resource for event security planning, emergency preparedness, and incident response coordination.
Maintain accurate case management documentation and records in accordance with company, legal, and compliance standards.
Escalate high-risk or sensitive issues appropriately and keep leadership informed of safety, theft, fraud, and security concerns.
Maintain professionalism, discretion, and the highest ethical standards in all interactions and work product.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Safety, Risk Management, Business, or a related field preferred; or equivalent professional experience.
3+ years of experience in investigations, corporate security, safety, law enforcement, fraud, risk, crisis response, trust and safety, or a related field.
Experience conducting investigations, incident response, interviews, or security-related fieldwork preferred.
Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Legal, or other business stakeholders preferred.
Exposure to workplace safety, OSHA-related processes, or physical site security assessments preferred
Strong investigative and fact-gathering skills
Ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail
Ability to build trust and maintain productive stakeholder relationships
Ability to balance safety, legal exposure, reputational risk, and operational impact
Adaptability, professionalism, and discretion in dynamic environments
Ability to respond quickly and effectively to urgent or high-risk situations
Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to investigations, workplace safety, and security operations preferred
Moderate to significant travel required across multiple markets for investigations, site visits, and stakeholder engagement.
