Position Summary:
This Manager is responsible for managing the US Accounts Payable Payments team and overseeing routine department activities to ensure they are completed accurately and timely. This position is a hybrid in-office/remote role based in Scottsdale, AZ.
Essential Functions:
Manage day-to-day operations of AP Payments team, including supervising staff, managing invoice payment processing, and assisting with payment discrepancies in a rapidly changing environment
Oversee payment processes and collaborate with other departments such as Procurement and Utilities
Responsible for all compliance functions to ensure proper oversight and controls on disbursements and electronic payments
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable
Support the financial reporting teams with analysis and data as appropriate
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support
Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting as necessary.
Learn and demonstrate expertise on the automated systems and work collaboratively with the team’s Senior Manager and Supervisors for production issues, system enhancements and process improvements
Qualifications:
8-10 or years of Accounts Payable experience with a background or education in Accounting
Proven leadership experience with dispersed or global team
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Yardi experience preferred
Real Estate/Property Management experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to be independent and a self-starter: is self-motivated and takes initiative
Ability to multi-task in a high growth and fast-paced environment
Proven problem solving, analytical, troubleshooting and time-management skills
Ability to effectively communicate with senior management
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills; has ability to convey a clear and concise thought.
