Position Summary

The Manager Due Diligence Inspection (MDDI) is a national role responsible for the management and oversight of the national Due Diligence Inspectors (DDI). The MDDI reports directly to the National Director of Renovations - Estimating. The MDDI is responsible for managing the DDI’s, ensuring that key performance indicators including training, quality and accountability are maintained at the highest possible levels. MDDI will work directly with the Project Coordination Team, Third-Party Vendors and other internal and external customers as needed, to ensure alignment with renovations standards and internal timelines.

Essential Functions

* Coordinate with internal/external resources for scheduling
* Manage resource allocation to ensure all Due Diligence tasks are completed on time and to expectations.
* Routinely audit scopes of work compared to change orders to identify training opportunities
* Communicate with manager and acquisitions team as needed, to stay aligned ahead of anticipated changes
* Ensure scopes of work follows company renovation and quality standards
* Oversee all fleet aspects and assigned equipment, including monthly mileage calculations for POVs
* Monitor daily, weekly and monthly reporting to ensure KPI’s are met
* Ensures workplace safety standards and practices are adhered to
* Responsible for actively monitoring staffing needs, actions and setting up routine engagement cadence with associates
* Oversee/identify training on process/procedures and implementation of corporate initiatives.
* Manage a quality assurance plan for work products

Human Resource Management

* Responsible for all aspects of personnel management, staffing, KPIs, reoccurring meetings and related duties
* Supervision of staff, set goals and holds associates accountable for results
* Coordinate staffing activities to maximize the efficiency of all processes
* Ensure that associates all have goals and receive regular feedback on their performance
* Ensure that all required training is completed in a timely manner
* Ensure that workplace safety standards and practices are always upheld
* Performance management of personnel including, reviews, corrective action, mentoring and development plans
* Ensure all company policies are adhered to
* Create a culture of customer service, associate recognition, open feedback, collaboration and teamwork


* High school or college graduate with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
* Five years of experience as an estimator, residential renovations project manager, senior superintendent or production home builder/superintendent
* Experience in managing remote staff at a national level
* Extensive knowledge of construction/renovations techniques/processes, plumbing, electrical, roofing, HVAC, flooring, appliances, landscaping and irrigation systems as they relate to residential homes
* Mastery of general IBC building codes and rental property health and safety regulations
* Excellent oral and written communication
* Ability to work efficiently and manage time
* Proven record of working independently and with minimal supervision
* An effective team player with a positive attitude
* Ability to work flexible hours, which may include weekends and occasional overnight travel
* Bi-lingual a plus
* Basic computer skills. Experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce and Yardi Voyager preferred
