About the Team and Position

Our Security Operations team is responsible for the prevention and empathetic resolution of any safety or security issues that may arise in our homes.  As the Regional Security Operations Manager, you are a safety-centric professional who is level-headed, a good communicator and enjoys solving customer issues by developing scalable processes.  You are also a quantitatively driven, detail focused and business-savvy person who enjoys building and developing a team. You’ll help develop innovative solutions and play a meaningful role working cross-functionally to build programs to enhance trust, enable business growth and protect the Progress Residential brand.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver a service first approach in everything you do

  • Inspire, coach, and lead your team of Security specialists to act with the appropriate level of urgency and accountability while fostering a culture toward superior execution

  • Proactively drive team’s quarterly planning and define short and longer-term goals, key initiatives, and strategy around market-based and centralized home issue tasks

  • Set and own performance SLAs, setting clear targets and action plans to ensure goals around resolution of safety and security incidents

  • Be able to deep-dive in performance metrics, perform gap analysis and take data-driven actions to continually improve the customer experience, safety and efficiency of Security Operations

  • Communicate and report overall status, primary metrics, key issues and solution plans to senior management

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to problem solve or identify areas of opportunity

  • Be a passionate advocate for the safety of visitors, residents and employees within the business by leveraging customer insights

  • Compile reports and regularly communicate with various company leadership through cadenced updates and resolution recommendations

What You Should Know/have

  • 5+ years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, risk, incident management/crisis response, trust and safety, asset protection or fraud operations roles

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience

  • Built and successfully managed local and remote operations teams

  • Strong customer advocate with exceptional judgment that can build scalable operations processes 

  • Calm under pressure and demonstrated great organizational skills, integrity, and follow-through

  • Excellent judgment and risk management mindset

  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities across multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines

  • Willingness to hustle and a "do what it takes" attitude??

  • A team-first mentality and eagerness to set and meet aggressive goals

  • Must possess valid driver’s license in the working state

We’d love it if you also have

  • Knowledge of Smart Home products, Physical Monitoring Technology, and other Safe and Secure Technology

  • Previous experience supporting an OSHA program - Safety Team

  • Experience supporting crisis prevention and/or response plans
