JOB SUMMARY


The Product Marketing Manager is critical to providing residents with a personalized experience with Progress Residential by implementing and maintaining innovated products and services. This is an opportunity to join a growing team where maximizing the resident experience is critical to the success of the organization. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and relationship management skills to deliver relational product and service offerings across all resident interactions.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


* Uses VOC data to build a strategic product and service roadmap for the assigned product suite while building and maintaining communication to all department stakeholders.
* Provides data and comparison analytics for build, buy, or partner decisions for any new product or service.
* Builds and maintain win-win relationships with new and existing 3rd party product and service vendors for assigned product suite including ongoing strategic roadmap assessment and management.
* Primary contact for vendors when potential defects or issues arise and help develop solutions for requirements that did not meet expected results
* Partners with peers and leadership in the operation department and marketing department assisting in the product delivery and communication processes and procedures to continually enhance ease of use, product penetration, and ultimately business success
* Decision maker and subject matter expert for the overall business direction of the assigned product suite while understanding and defining the strategy and roadmap to all stakeholders.
* Plans, supports, and executes assigned products and services throughout their life cycle, communicating to the business how the products are evolving to meet strategic and operational objectives
* Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing products and services and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging technology or marketing communication to optimize these products and services
* Oversee communication for process changes, enhancements, and modifications -through written documentation - to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood
* Track and monitor KPI’s across all resident interaction channels.
* Works collaboratively with PMO (Project Management Office) to achieve company goals/deadlines and provide appropriate work/inputs into overall project


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


* 3+ years creating and managing partnerships with 3rd party product and service providers
* 3 - 5 years of work experience in product marketing or product management role a small to medium direct to consumer company
* Ability to develop and communicate a strategy for future state customer needs and execute tactical roadmap (e.g., create business requirements, create marketing communication strategy, oversee technical and marketing implementation/updates, vendor management, end-user relations, etc.)
* Strong understanding of how to build and execute an upsell and cross sell strategy within a customer journey
* Proven troubleshooting skills including the ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems quickly with a keen attention to detail
* Ability to work independently with minimum direction
* Ability to multi-task and handle business demands comfortably
* Strong customer service understanding and relationship building skills with a team-player attitude
* Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing, growth environment
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing or marketing related field
* Work experience that includes accountability for owning the product road map for an organization
