Position Summary:

The Property Manager is a member of the Property Management team and is responsible for interacting with the prospect, applicant, and resident to support market office. This includes resident-facing customer service, administrative operations in Salesforce and Yardi, property visits and general support of the market office.

The Property Manager works closely with the national teams and supports the Assistant Portfolio Operations Director (APOD) in all aspects of property management, included but not limited to marketing, showings, application gathering and review, rent collections, resident inquires, escalations, resident retention, reporting, as well as, maintenance, turn and construction operations, and general management of the resident experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains a high degree of customer service and competency level in all resident interactions; phone or email, formal written communication or in person.

  • Acts as the primary market interface with resident, handing daily email and phone correspondence.

  • Assists residents with: Rent Café, Renter’s Insurance, Early Terminations, Transfers, and Utilities.

  • Manages Salesforce case tasks between central and market offices.

  • Displays knowledge of provisions in standard lease documents and maintain a working knowledge of resident rules and regulations.

  • Effectively communicates the lease renewal process, month to month, and lease renewal status with residents. 

  • Partners with central teams to drive rental collections with a goal of minimizing evictions and reducing delinquency.

  • Appears in court on behalf of the company and process any funds received in the office.

  • Represents the company to prospective applicants, real estate agents and brokers, current residents and others in a courteous and professional manner - always putting customer service first. 

  • Audits required documents for move outs, deposit accounting, and move-ins in Salesforce to ensure compliance.

  • Ensures that all resident responsibilities are accounted for on resident ledgers and collections are made in a timely manner.

  • Ensure HOA violations and customer case tasks are responded to in a timely manner.

  • Research and process credit requests.

  • Answers inbound phone inquiries from customers providing quality and accurate responses managing and resolving customer issues.

  • Routes calls, emails, and tickets to appropriate back-office individuals and groups as needed.

  • Assists applicant through the application process (approval, lease signing, move-in scheduling) which may include email and inbound/outbound phone calls.

  • Displays a strong understanding of Progress Residential lease application, leasing processes, and lease agreement and can accurately provide answers and explanations to applicants/new residents in a user-friendly manner

  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to regulations such as the Fair Housing Act

  • Carry out other duties as assigned that are in the best interests of the customers and the company.


  • High School graduate required. College degree a plus.

  • Real Estates license and Property Manager Permit required in the state of Nevada.

  • At least three years of previous property management experience in either the single family or multi-family rental industry.

  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills to manage timely collections of rent, fees and billing information.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally.

  • Projects confidence in interacting with residents and always displays professional presence.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing, growth environment.

  • Honest, ethical, and able to maintain confidentiality in a business setting.

  • Interacts productively in person and through technology with co-workers, team members, management, and other company personnel daily to accomplish duties and responsibilities. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. 

  • Ability to comfortably navigate new technology and competency in MS Office a must.

  • Previous use of Yardi Voyager and Salesforce a plus.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
