Responsible for executing the Company’s strategic objectives, Mission, Vision and Values as they relate to their assigned portfolio / region. The Regional Vice President will lead Regional Directors and Portfolio Operations Directors and to ensure the revenue and expense budgets for their assigned markets are achieved. This position provides the leadership and execution of the Company’s national operational platform and is responsible for providing the guidance on all daily management and operational issues across the portfolio. The goal of this position is to ensure operational consistency and compliance throughout the markets. P&L management and innovative business strategies are critical to this role. This position works closely with C-level management throughout the organization to ensure all strategic and operational goals and values are achieved. RVP portfolios consist of both owned properties and fee management locations/relationships in addition to what is referred to as BTR properties.

Effectively evaluates existing market operations and identifies opportunities for centralization, improvement and proposes viable solutions and leads implementation.

Works closely with Regional Directors and Portfolio Operations Directors to ensure property management revenue and expense goals are achieved.
Works closely with Marketing, Construction, Central Operations, Accounting, Finance and Technology teams to ensure processes align with market goals and that the flow from the markets to the functional departments is effective.

Evaluates operational controls and designs improvements.
Analyzes market performance and creates plans to overcome shortfalls.
Coordinates and communicates feedback on process changes from the market perspective to corporate teams.
Holds teams accountable for established goals.
Audits and holds teams accountable to company policies and procedures.
Conducts periodic site inspections to ensure owner/investor objectives are met.
Develops staffing plans to ensure that the plan for talent aligns with the portfolio needs.
Acts swiftly to address performance shortcomings.
Effectively interacts and influences leadership teams around Company strategies.
Works with the Executive Vice President, Operations on the internalization of markets ensuring financial metrics are achieved.
Insures all safety standards are met and training for staff is completed.
Supervision of staff sets goals and holds people accountable for results.
Ensures that the group provides outstanding customer service and is responsive to requests.
Coordinates activities to maximize the efficiency of all processes.
Develops team and is focused on succession plan within each market.
Insures that all training requirements are completed on time.
Ensures that employees all have goals and receive regular feedback on their performance
Performance management of personnel including, reviews, corrective action, mentoring, development plans and performance improvement plans.
10 or more years of previous business/operations management experience in a real estate operations environment
5 or more years of supervisory experience required
Proven record of achieving or exceeding P&L results
Yardi and/or SalesForce experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree is required
Ability to effectively manage a diverse group of remote managers
Mastery of Microsoft Excel for operational modeling and development of corporate and departmental staffing plans.
At least 50% travel.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Excellent oral and written and presentation skills.
