JOB SUMMARY

This individual role will focus on the day-to-day management of assigned Renovation Contractors.  This role will be responsible for the schedule and quality performance of assigned vendors.  Could be 20-30 Vendors each. This task will include near daily check-ins with the vendor on the status of each job, making sure the vendor is updating Progress’s project management systems correctly (Dash-Relay) This conversation will also lead to an understanding of each assigned vendor’s capacity and capability.  The team will be responsible for knowing the overall capacity and partner with other Renovation and Procurement leaders to ensure we have 125% capacity for the acquisition forecast.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This coordinator will drive compliance to standard processes for renovation management.  This will include training, development, and performance management of each assigned vendor.  Performance management means tracking the vendor’s open jobs, having conversations with vendors about the status, the challenges to meeting due dates and updating our systems.

  • Work with peers and management to communicate vendors performance and especially capacity to perform jobs so that Strategic Sourcing can prospect vendors to achieve our capacity requirements

  • Procurement Leader partnering with other Procurement and Renovation Leaders to increase our capability and capacity to manage renovations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in Business, Construction or Supply Chain

  • Two to four years of direct experience in construction or trades management.

  • Ability to understand and negotiate trade services agreements and statements of work.

  • Ability to understand typical trade contractors across a broad spectrum of trades.  (i.e., the pricing trends for plumbing)

  • This role will travel extensively locally meeting vendors at the project homes.  Role will also travel 2-6 times per year for training and team building opportunities.
