Position Summary


The Rental Registration Program Manager supervises the operation of Rental Registration team, supporting the local markets/cities who require participation in the program to ensure licensing compliance by the program are being met, along with the goals, quality standards and operating objectives established by the Company and the compliance/legal team/property management team. This position provides daily management and support for the team on all activities associated with the rental licensing program. The Rental Registration Program Manager will also ensure the company develops and builds positive relationships with municipalities across the nation.

Essential Functions


* Support the local markets by managing and supporting the daily operations of Rental Registration Program
* Ensure that all requirements by the specific municipality are being met
* Keep accurate records of all associated documents; including but not limited to, rental registration applications, fees payments, re-inspections, work orders, annual inspections, deficiency letters, and change of ownership/management
* Ensure that the specific municipality program receives all required documents and/or deficiency corrections in a timely manner to ensure rental licensing is always maintained and active
* Ensure that the policies and procedures are followed
* Analyze processes and procedures to ensure optimum efficiency levels
* Be knowledgeable of provisions in standard lease documents and maintain a working knowledge of resident rules and regulations
* Be knowledgeable of all municipality program rules and changes to ensure compliance
* Develop positive relationships with municipalities across the nation
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with local market team members
* Carry out other duties as assigned that are in the best interests of the company while being a champion for Progress Residential’s Core Values.

Human Resource Management


* Supervision of staff, set goals and holds people accountable for results
* Coordinates activities to maximize the efficiency of all processes
* Develops team and is focused on succession plan within group
* Ensures that employees all have goals and receive regular feedback on their performance
* Performance management of personnel including, reviews, corrective action, mentoring, development plans and performance improvement plans

Qualifications


* Bachelor’s Degree in business or 5+ years of progressive property management work experience
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 3 years management experience - preferably in real estate, property management and/or HOA.
* Previous experience with local city and municipalities rental registration requirements
* Previous use of Yardi Voyager and Salesforce a plus
* Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
* Possesses strong organizational skills and is detail oriented
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing, growth environment
* Fosters teamwork and mutual respect throughout the company
* Interacts productively in person and through technology with co-workers, team members
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Advanced computer literacy, ability to comfortably navigate new technology and competency in MS Office suite a must
