Position Summary:

Progress Residential is seeking a technical leader for our Salesforce Solution Architect team who will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying architectural solutions. It is an exciting time to be a solutions Architect on our team as we are defining what the future strategy of our systems will be and this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

You would work as a team member alongside the Product owners, Engineers, and other supporting team members to deliver solutions that help Progress Residential build smarter and more efficient platforms.

You would be a member of a team of technical leaders that are responsible for creating the technology strategy (Mobile, Web, Data, Cloud, etc.) of current and future systems. Leading design discussions and mentoring engineers on proper platform and application solutions. Publishing and presenting to technology leaders and business executives. Providing leadership around technical solutions and collaborating with other technologists on creating cross-domain solutions.

Primarily responsible for the providing Salesforce Solutions within our Salesforce eco-system, participating in the designing and build of our Salesforce Platforms and its associated technologies.  You would be working within a team of Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts and Administrators across the globe to delivery best in class technology solutions and service to our business partners.

You would be responsible for developing Salesforce solutions using technologies such as SFDC, REST API and other streaming technologies.  You would be the owner for the architecture and design of complex solution components (e.g., integration, security, custom development), following all stages of the software development life cycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for developing new Salesforce technologies, from bugs, enhancements, and projects, including sales, service, experience and knowledge cloud and understanding of associated systems and APIs for our business.

  • Responsible for ensuring that the Salesforce system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that thorough testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are aligned to our corporate policies and standards. 

  • Planning and attending regular planning meetings and daily stand-ups.

  • Identify and confirm technical design risks and develop mitigating approaches.

  • Participate in technical design workshops with the wider Salesforce Team, IT Teams, and the business (where applicable).  

  • Ensure all technical documentation/records are kept up to date, following any system changes and new project implementations.

  • Collaborating closely with the IT business applications teams, solutioning technologies that interface.

  • Translate and communicate technical requirements and solutions back to the business using story-based narratives as well as presenting this in an executive reporting presentation.

  • Follow Project Management methodologies like Kanban & Agile, for successful delivery of projects.

  • Reviewing the legacy debt on our Salesforce and its associated systems and API’s and designing, presenting, and implementing new solutions that are both efficient for our business and cost effective.

  • Knowledge of new & upcoming features in the Salesforce ecosystem to provide recommendations for greater efficiencies.

  • Ensuring that are systems are kept safe, secure, and compliant.

  • Perform rapid POCs to experiment and build rails for the engineering team. 

  • Support engineers and project managers in rapid development and deployment .

  • Actively participate in team and enterprise-wide architecture and engineering discussions. 

  • Introduce enterprise architectural paradigms and solutions into the portfolio. 

  • Drive both high level and detailed design and conduct design reviews. 

  • Engage and work with cross-functional leaders to understand and help define business principles, goals and strategy within scope of responsibility. 

  • Communicate to senior leaders regarding strategy direction and changes. 

  • Mentor engineers and solution architects to ensure technology complexities are understood very clearly to implement solutions expeditiously with high quality. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4+ experience of standard & extensible functionality of Salesforce Sales, Service, Knowledge, Experience Clouds, as well as Analytics, Marketing Cloud & Marketing Cloud Intelligence

  • Knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce & Lightning Aura (or JavaScript) programming skills, or previous custom development experience in implementing other technologies stacks and other development technologies (Apex/VF, JAVA, .Net, Ruby, JS, jQuery, Angular.js, Objective C)

  • Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and REST)

  • End to end implementation experience with the SFDC platform

  • Integration experience using both Web based technologies (Soap, Rest) and Integration/Middleware tools such as Informatica, Jitterbit and MuleSoft

  • Knowledge of options and how to handle security requirements such as single sign on, active directory and data security

  • Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts and technologies such as Copado, ANT, SFDC Metadata API, Jenkins, SVN

  • Software development full lifecycle methodologies, patterns, frameworks, libraries, and tools

  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing large scale cloud-native platforms with high resiliency, availability, and reliability

  • Strong experience in applications with high throughput and performance

  • Experience with microservices architectures?and service mesh technologies is preferred

  • Strong written, verbal communications, presentation skills, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proven collaboration skills along with the ability to influence without authority

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Salesforce Solutions Architect, Administrator and basic level of development with salesforce certifications

  • Ability to think clearly under pressure and flexible to change

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills working with complex system, process, and data issues

  • Strong business acumen, innately resourceful, curious, and smart when solving problems

  • Time/task management and organization skills to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong customer service skills - ability to interface effectively and establish quick credibility with enterprise business leaders

  • Work well in a virtual team environment with strong collaboration skills

  • Must have meticulous attention to detail, organization, and commitment to quality

  • Communicate regularly with user base regarding new features, enhancements, and changes to the system

  • Collaborate and build meaningful reports and dashboards for users, management, and leadership
