Job Summary
We are seeking a sharp, analytical, and business-minded Technology Strategy and Operations Analyst to support the strategic and operational priorities of the Technology Department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence through data and process improvements. You’ll assist in managing the department’s financial processes, contribute to executive-level reporting, and provide structured analysis and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the technology organization.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong analytical skills, excellent written communication skills, and a proactive mindset. You’ll work closely with technology leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure that the department’s initiatives are well-supported, well-communicated, and aligned with organizational goals.
Essential Functions
Assist in the development and tracking of departmental goals, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
Provide analytical support to technology leadership, including preparing data-driven insights and executive-level presentation materials.
Draft executive-level content for presentations, reports, and communications that clearly articulate complex ideas and recommendations
Assist in the technology budgeting process, including forecasting, variance analysis, and invoice approvals.
Partner with technology expense owners to support contract lifecycle ensuring timely renewals, accurate usage tracking, and alignment with budget and operational needs.
Responsible for overseeing and managing software assets, including tracking software licenses and usage, license inventory management, and conducting regular audits of software assets and usage.
Track departmental expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Maintain accurate headcount and hiring data, supporting workforce planning and reconciliation efforts.
Assist with technology governance and change management initiatives that enhance operational resilience and agility.
Identify and implement process improvements that streamline workflows and enhance team effectiveness.
Work cross-functionally with technology and business teams to gather input, align stakeholders, and support the execution of strategic and operational initiatives.
Qualifications and Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Business Administration, Industrial or Process Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in consulting, business operations, financial analysis, technology strategy, or a related area.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong working knowledge of Outlook and the Microsoft 365 suite
Familiarity with Generative AI (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) to streamline tasks, enhance analysis, or improve communication is a plus
Communication: Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to create executive-level content and present complex information clearly.
Analytical Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze data, and synthesize insights.
