The Training Specialist provides comprehensive onboarding and follow-up training, and performance support for specific resident facing job roles within Progress Residential. The position will provide continuous support for both Contact Center and National Sales training, based upon Progress policies, procedures, and job guides. They will be responsible for classroom management and supervision of employees during the onboarding/training cycle. The Training Specialist will work directly with stakeholders to determine learning outcomes related to new employee knowledge, skill and behaviors and is directly involved with the creation, delivery, and maintenance of classroom curriculum. Training Specialists are responsible for sales training techniques that will support Operations and Leasing KPI’s. As members of the Learning and Development team, Training Specialists will assist in the deployment of post-training surveys, and reporting results to stakeholders within each relevant department. Lastly, based on departmental need, Training Specialists will provide refresher training related to underperforming employees within these departments.
Classroom facilitation for new employees (2-3 weeks in length), including but not limited to systems, soft-skill, sales, and cultural training, in support of departmental KPI’s.
Tracks and measures classroom learning outcomes and behaviors and reports daily to respective departments as to the progress of each new employee.
Meets weekly with leaders in each functional area served to audit training materials and calibrate curriculum to shifting departmental needs.
Works directly with the Instructional Design team to update and maintain curriculum; including editing and designing materials as needed.
Manage and track post classroom surveys, reporting skill/knowledge/behavior gaps to stakeholders, and creating coaching and follow-up training plans as needed.
Other administrative activities as needed for Operations, Learning & Development, and People Operations departments.
2-3 years’ experience delivering enterprise-wide training in a corporate environment
1-2 years’ experience creating and/or maintaining learning content in a corporate environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be highly organized with excellent attention to detail
High level of customer service experience
Highly proactive, self-starter with the ability to work in a changing environment with strict deadlines
Property management experience preferred
2-3 years sales experience or sales training experience in a high-volume call center
