Vendor Compliance Specialist

The Vendor Compliance Specialist reports directly to the Vendor Resource Manager and supports day-to-day compliance operations relating to the Vendor Management department. The VCS is responsible for overseeing compliance on various risk-level vendors by following up; answering insurance/compliance-related questions and interfacing with our 3rd party compliance agency. The right candidate for this position will have vendor compliance experience, insurance management experience and preferably construction industry knowledge.
Day-to-day compliance requirements to move vendors through onboarding
Follow-up with prospective vendors and insurance carriers/agents as needed
Assist vendors with all onboarding questions or issues and interfaces with 3rd party compliance company
Educate prospects on insurance requirements, industry standards and company processes
Manage upcoming expirations of insurance with external partner
Work with Vendor Sourcing Specialists to manage incoming prospective vendors
Administrative tasks as assigned by the Vendor Resource Manager
High school diploma or equivalent required, prefer Associates degree or higher
Insurance industry knowledge
Proficiency with Yardi Property Management Software and Salesforce highly preferred
Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Organized with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be independent and a self-starter
Effective time management skills while managing multiple projects and priorities
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Effectively communicates in both written and verbal communication
Exhibits judgment and decision-making ability
Great customer service and interpersonal skills
