Position Summary

Reporting to the CFO, the VP, Finance National Operations will be responsible for leading key Progress Residential business partnering to the COO and other Operations Directors including Care Center, National Service Operations, and National Renovations. The single-family home industry is still evolving, and the VP will be responsible for innovating operating models that increase the scalability of these teams with a clear focus on lowering per transaction cost while increasing speed and quality.  The operating models should include on-shore, off-shore and automation solutions.  The ideal candidate will be process and technology savvy with the ability to lead multiple change initiatives over a multi-year horizon while delivering daily results.  Additionally, the VP, Finance National Operations will have a strong service mindset and strong communication and people development skills to work with cross functional partners and develop a high performing team.  Finally, the ideal candidate will have displayed the ability to identify and implement best practices and evolving solutions from outside sources.

Role Highlights

  • Partner with other Progress leaders, co-developing solutions to cross-functional opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a scalable operating model to improve forecast accuracy of resource needs and financial outcomes leveraging on-shore, off-shore and technology solutions. 

  • Implement management operating system and scorecards to provide visibility to throughput, quality, and cost.

  • Maximize operating cash flow driving productivity across all operations with a focus on improving resident experience

  • Drive continuous improvement throughout and work closely with stakeholders to meet business visibility needs as required

  • Identify growth, cost, quality and cycle time opportunities outside area of direct responsibility

Requirements:

  • An effective and persuasive communicator with a variety of constituents - employees, partners, executives and investors.

  • Strong operating mechanisms developed for leading large, diverse teams across multiple geographies

     Pivotal Experience and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience managing teams and processes comparable to Progress’s aspirational size or capable of owning responsibility for the business across various processes.  Understands the hyper-growth environment.  Experience in a mid- or large-scale business setting with multiple locations.  Holds direct responsibility for scaling the operations and implementing operating models utilizing on-shore, off-shore and technology solutions.

  • Significant process and technology experience to delivery high speed and quality at low cost.

  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills required.
